The installation process of Accusys 211 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer is not simple. However, this can be mastered easily if you pay proper attention to the guidance for the installation. However, to enhance your convenience, this article has described all the steps in the installation process in necessary steps:
• After you have received your Accusys 211 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer from Buck Scientific, the first step is to unpack all the instruments and supplies like Hoses, Regulators, Fittings, Parts bag, gas regulators or other components required for analysis.
• In the buck scientific installation kit you will find gas connection tubes, electric chords for power supply, spared wings for the burner head and display chamber) and all the necessary tools for the installation process or component changing. You need to unpack this kit very carefully as many of the small components can be lost easily.
• After preparing the instruments for instillation, connect the power chord. Make sure you have checked the little red switch and have chosen the appropriate voltage range depending upon the country you are living.
• Depending upon the gases and the accessories supplied with the instrument, you have to make sure the hose fitting is gas tight and is settled between the appropriate gas tank regulator and the back of the instrument. You have to use a color coded tubing, the cut square, nut and then tighten the tubing using your hands first and then with the screw tighter.
• After the hose fittings are gas tight, then you need to settle the safety drain vessel
• And after setting up the safety drain you need to make sure that there is another reservoir ready to check the vessel is working properly.
• After that you have to make sure whether burner sense light is showing the correct lighting. Unless all the instruments are in the place they need to be, these lights will not turn green.
• There is another light for checking the gas pressure and will turn red if the gas pressure is coming to the instrument in any way.
• The third light is for nitrous oxide inner lock that shows whether your nitrous oxide is installed in your burner head spread chamber.
• Another light is meant for the flame sensor to sense if any flammable gas is being inserted from the Spectrometer into the laboratory environment.
• The last light is for sensing whether you have significant pressure and flow of the settling gas to ensure a switch over from an air settling flame to a nitrous oxide settling flame.
• For proper operation of the 211 AAS, you need to make sure the basic set up is maintained within the instrument, which is
Air = 60- 75 psi
Nitrous Oxide = 75 psi
Acetylene = 12-15 psi
Power=110-120 V / 10-15A (USA)
Or, 208-240 V (international)
• The last step before you can start with the analysis part is to insert the H-C lamp. The end of the lamp has two electrodes and a plug with a key on it that need to be placed with a slot in the appropriate cap. The number on the end of the socket must match with the number of the top of the turn.
• After the physical set up is complete, you can run the basic operation. There is a library of stored methods for all the elements that you can analyze using the equipment.
• To begin with you can press the Li key to insert into the library. Then using the select key, you can pick the appropriate lamp number. With the up/down arrows, the appropriate elements files are selected.
• Furnace methods are tagged as FURN and Hydride methods are tagged as Hydride.
• Once the correct file is loaded, you need to press 2 and enter to load the file into the appropriate lamp position.
• Then you can press the escape key and follow the directions to help align the wavelength maximizing your energy by setting the appropriate scrawl on the right hand side of the equipment
• Then you set press the align key to see the graph or the number displayed on the screen for your analysis.
• To determine the energy coming from the optical system you can use the two silver turners on the top of the safety cap of the H-C lamp.
• One the system is optimized you can press the zero key to record the energy of the H-C lamp.
• Now your system is ready for making proper analysis.
For the complete operation method of the Spectrophotometer, you can consult with the video tutorial that will help you through the process.

Hydroponics is a means of growing plants in nutrient water without the use of soil. Instead of soil a non-reacting medium is used such as perlite, gravel, or the husk of coconuts. It was known as early as the 18 century that plants absorb their minerals in water as ions. The soil in traditional growing acts as a nutrient reservoir but does not actually contribute to plants growth. Water dissolves the minerals in the plants soil enabling the plants to use them. In hydroponics the minerals required for plants growth are artificially dissolved in the water making soil unnecessary. It is possible to grow almost any soil based plant using hydroponics. Hydroponics is such a promising field that there is much research into different methods in the academic community.
The first book ever published on hydroponics was published in 1627. After which, water cultivation soon became a popular technique. Experiments were done and in 1699 it was found that plants grown in distilled water grew less rapidly then plants grown in plain water. This is due to the dissolved ions found within non-pure water. By 1842 scientists had published a list of nine elements believed to be responsible for plant growth and the results of which led to what is known as modern hydroponics. At first they used soilless cultivation and grew terrestrial plants using the nine essential elements. It quickly spread throughout academia and became an area of hot research.
One of the first achievements of hydroponics was performed by Dr. Gericke at the University of Berkley. He managed to create tomato plants that grew to over 25 feet tall. At the time this was considered only possible due to the usage of hydroponics. He claimed that hydroponics would revolutionize growing. If only he were alive today to see how it has. He wrote a book in 1940 called the Complete Guide to Soilless Growing which became the go to guide on hydroponics of its day; although, at first he refused to publically reveal his secret.
Due to the extravagant nature of his claims several scientists set about reviewing his work. At first they found that soilless growing was no better than soil growing. They found that the yield of crops were limited by other factors other than minerals, such as light. The research overlooked many of the important factors that make hydroponics benefit plants. Namely that hydroponics allows the plants roots to grab more oxygen. Around this time mineral solutions were developed called Hoagland solutions were developed and are still in use today. Hydroponics was used on Wake Island early on to grow vegetables where there was no soil. Recently hydroponics has been thoroughly researched by NASA.
With the advancement of modern hydroponics along came advances in grow lights. At first the introduction of HPS (high pressure sodium) grow lights allowed plants to be grown indoors. They produced high light output and allowed plants to mature fully. Recently the advances of LED grow lights has begun to revolutionize the field of hydroponics. They completely eliminate the heat issues that come about with HPS lights and can reduce electrical costs by up to two thirds.

Wind turbines, which are producing electricity, are not new to the people because it has been used for over 100 years and still it is continually evolving. In addition to that, as it undergoes some innovations, their prices also lower. Actually, there are different types of wind turbine models and if they are designed for commercial purposes, then they are known to be much more expensive and you can see them on the wind farms. These wind turbines prices will cost up to $25,000 to $100,000 per unit depending on its size. These commercial wind turbines are known to be heavy built and much sturdier for all types of climates and locations. They are primarily designed for small wind generation purposes. On the other hand, if you want to use a cheaper wind turbine, then residential wind turbines will be perfect for you. Because it will just cost you, $2,000 to $25,000 not included there the tower costs.
There is also a new generation of these, which are called the micro wind; it will cost $600 although you can expect that their electrical output is smaller than the other popular wind turbines. Another way of looking at its pricing is their kilowatt costs that they can produce. According to the wind specialist website, the scale turbines are averaging for $3.5 million when it is installed. One of the most important views of wind power is their energy, the smaller the turbines the lesser their kilowatt of energy that they produce. Another wind turbines prices are that the residential wind turbines are costing $35,000 – $50,000 per 10-kilowatt machine. There are also other factors that you must look into these prices; one is that you must calculate roughly their costs. These will include their wind resource assessment, permitting and other interconnection studies, construction costs, transformers, utility system upgrades and many more that relates with these installations.
In other cases, these prices can offset all the tax breaks, which are available. The long-term return-on-investment will mean that their costs will be compensated as for their generation electricity and other feed in tariffs. It is important that you look into these prices that will best suit and work for you. You should also understand the resources you will accomplish when it comes to their disposal terms on your said property. You can do so many things with the electricity that you have extracted from the wind. You can start by charging your own battery for you to send back all the excess power that you have gathered and use it for the other off the grid purposes or are paid for your excess power because you can sell it to the electrical companies. For you to achieve better result, especially during the installation, then you must consult a professional for that. You can also try checking your local planning city office for their restrictions or other zoning permits that will limit your installation.
So here are the other three big factors that you need to know when it comes to wind turbines prices. First is their initial costs, be careful on what the tag says, because all of its parts are not always included in their kits that they are offering. Some of these companies are leaving some parts for you to buy so that their product will be competitive in the market. Second is that, look for its ongoing costs, like its annual maintenance and other replacements of the parts that are already worn out. This is considered to be a great variable especially when it comes to these replacement parts. The wear out surfaces like the blades can really bring you to the ongoing cost operation. Third big factor is these prices services, this can be a hard case when it comes to charging your own battery in the off the grid. So it is very important for you to analyze and understand all the factors when it comes to wind turbines prices.
